I was recently contacted by Juliette, a model from Kiev, saying she was in Stockholm for a while and wanted to do a photo shoot. There were about three days before she was leaving and at that time I was knee deep in work, but we were able to find a match late on a Monday when we both were free. We met up about 6pm, and if you have ever been in Sweden during winter you will know that at this time there’s no trace of the sun, so the city is pitch dark, except from streetlights and smartphones…

When you’re on a mission to upgrade your arsenal of lenses, there are a million websites with reviews and tests to help you find what you’re searching for. Many of these sites contain a huge pile of detailed information about the lens and also some pictures showing the lens i every direction you can think of. I enjoy reading through all that info and compare different lenses to make sure that what I buy is the best thing for me. A buddy of mine Oskar Bly, was organising an Opera performance at the Palace here in Stockholm.
Lenses, the never ending story … and quite an expensive story. However, it doesn’t actually need to be a burden on your wallet. All you gotta do is think old skool because (and excuse my bad joke coming up) olds kool. Like Edgar Allen Poe vs Stephen King OR Bram Stoker vs whoever wrote those Twilight comics … the vintage dudes were always better.
This is something that has interested me in the last few weeks. Even though I appreciate the improvement and the new technology that we have in modern cameras, I always find it kool to go back and try out how they did it back in the day.
